People Who Can Eat People Are the Luckiest People in the World is the second studio album from folk punk band Andrew Jackson Jihad. The album was released by Asian Man Records on September 11, 2007. The title is derived from a line in Kurt Vonnegut's book, Hocus Pocus which itself is a reference to Barbra Streisand's song People. The album was recorded and mixed by Jalipaz Nelson at Audioconfusion in Mesa, Arizona. The album artwork was illustrated by Ryan Piscitelli. D People are hateful and people are rude. G B5 C G But God I love some people sometimes. D G Because people are very, very special. And people are impatient, they don't know how to wait. D People are selfish and people are prone to hate. D G Because people are the greatest thing to happen. B5 C G I said God I love some people sometimes. And people are people regardless of skin. D People are people regardless of creed. G B5 C G People are people regardless of gender. The second album by Phoenix based folk punk group Andrew Jackson Jihad was released on September 11, 2007. It is a suitably dark mash up of genres, with music so interesting and clever that the lyrics come as a cold shock. They ramble and range from the dark and disturbing to the clever and fun to the heartbreaking. It is an album filled with existential dread, self hatred and madness, simultaneously an easy listen and something that you need to recover from. On its ridiculously titled 2007 debut for Asian Man Records, the quirky Phoenix, Arizona-based punk-folk group Andrew Jackson Jihad doles out plenty of acoustic absurdity. Consisting of Sean Bonnette vocals, guitar, Ben Gallaty bass, and a rotating cast of backing musicians, the ensemble's Violent Femmes-on-speed aesthetic is exemplified by the fast, furious Randy's House.
