The Complete Erskine Hawkins Volumes 12 19381939. Image Unavailable. Erskine Hawkins is best known for his recordings of Tuxedo Junction and Tippin' In, both of which are at least minor swing classics. His band was solid, if sometimes undistinguished. While this 2 disc set contains about half of his RCA recordings, it is disappointing. Collectables could have at least had somebody run the material through one round of CEDAR processing before committing it to disc. I like the band, but the re-issue could have been done much better
