Talk Talk is one of the best bands ever and doesn't deserve to be forcefully interrupted with some bullcrap ad. 50 видео Воспроизвести все Микс Talk Talk - Talk. David Bowie Montreux Colour of Spring is the third studio album by English band Talk Talk, released in March 1986. Musically, The Colour of Spring was a major step away from the synthesised pop of early Talk Talk, with a greater focus on guitars, pianos, and organs on such songs as Life's What You Make It, Living in Another World and Give It Up. It had a sound described by the band as much more organic than their earlier records, with the improvisation that was to dominate on their later works already apparent. Songs in album Talk Talk - The Colour Of Spring 1986. Talk Talk - Happiness Is Easy. Talk Talk - I Don't Believe In You. Talk Talk - Life's What You Make It. Talk Talk - April 5th. Talk Talk - Living In Another World. Talk Talk - Give It Up. Talk Talk - Chameleon Day. With It's My Life, Talk Talk proved that they could pull off an entire album of strong material. With The Colour of Spring, they took it one step further, moving to a near-concept song cycle, following the emotional ups and downs of relationships and pondering life in general. Musically, they built on the experimental direction of the previous album with interesting rhythms, sweeping orchestration, complex arrangements, and even a children's chorus to create an evocative, hypnotic groove. I was very happy to find both this and the Spirit of Eden SACD both new in a small store for £12 each a few years back. I had a hunch that they would fetch a bigger amount but was astounded by the price here, which, appears to have stayed the same over the years. Truly great albums.

When you consider the amount of money audiophile's spend on a high end sound system, $200 is small potatoes for an SACD that sounds this good. The reality is, some people are looking for the best sound, not the best bargain.

Regarding jwest's below comment: Given that people pay far more because of coloured vinyl, limited pressings etc; it's not so strange to pay more for a rare recording which is superior in SOUND. The Colour of Spring is Talk Talk at their peak and Talk Talk were one of the best groups of that time. And that time, the Eighties, for some people, is the finest in music (the Indie freedom of the Eighties had very real results in breadth of musical expression).Yes, I wish it were cheaper, I wish I had a copy of this album on SACD, but . . .

I'm sure that the SACD of this sounds amazing, but does it really sound $130 amazing?

The Talk Talk SACDs are, I'm somewhat sad to say, the best-sounding - but no, not $130 amazing, IMHO. :-) The DVDs that come with the 2012 LP reissues of The Colour of Spring and Spirit of Eden sound nearly as good, and those LP/DVD packages can be had for about 1/4 the price of the SACDs. For a major Talk Talk fan with the disposable income, the SACDs can be worth the price premium. But IMHO the LP/DVD packages are the best value, offering excellent high-res digital sound for a fraction of the cost (plus an LP in the bargain).
